Description
Smoked Salmon Dill Egg Bites are a delightful treat that combines rich flavors and creamy textures, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a fancy appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 100 grams smoked salmon, chopped
- 100 grams cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil – for greasing the muffin tin
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until well combined. Add the softened cream cheese and whisk until smooth.
- Gently fold in the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, and chives into the egg mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
- Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the egg bites are puffed up and the tops are golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the egg bites cool for a few minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen them, then gently pop them out of the tin.
Notes
- Store any leftover egg bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- To reheat, microwave for about 30 seconds or until warmed through.
- For freezing, wrap each bite in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag for up to a month.
