Description
Peach Prosciutto Puff Pastry Tarts are a delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, perfect for summer gatherings or as a light appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 2 medium ripe peaches, sliced
- 4 slices of prosciutto, torn into pieces
- 100 grams (about 3.5 ounces) of goat cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, chopped (or a few sprigs for garnish)
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, for egg wash
- Flour, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet and cut it into four equal squares or circles.
- Lightly score a border about 1/2 inch from the edge of each pastry square, then arrange the sliced peaches inside the scored border.
- Scatter the torn pieces of prosciutto over the peaches, followed by the crumbled goat cheese. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with fresh thyme and black pepper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the edges of the puff pastry. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and the peaches are tender.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
- Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
- For a vegan option, substitute goat cheese with a plant-based alternative and use vegan puff pastry.
