Description

Peach Cream Cheese Crescent Danishes are a delightful treat that combines the sweetness of peaches with the creamy richness of cream cheese, all wrapped in flaky crescent dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for sprinkling)
  • Flour for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Peel and slice the fresh peaches, then toss them with the remaining tablespoon of sugar and optional ground cinnamon.
  4. Open the can of crescent dough and unroll it onto a lightly floured surface, separating the dough into triangles.
  5. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle and top with a few slices of the sugared peaches. Roll the dough towards the pointed end to form a crescent shape.
  6. Brush the tops of the danishes with the beaten egg for a golden color.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up, then let cool slightly on a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or oven for best results.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crescent roll dough.
  • For a vegan option, substitute cream cheese with a plant-based alternative and use a flax egg.
