Description
A delightful mix of flavors and textures featuring tender beef marinated in a savory sauce, fresh vegetables, and fluffy rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams (1 lb) thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or sirloin)
- 60 milliliters (1/4 cup) soy sauce
- 50 grams (1/4 cup) brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons) sesame oil
- 4 green onions, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
- 300 grams (about 1.5 cups) steamed rice
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the beef by mixing soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the marinated beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Sauté broccoli and carrots in the same skillet for about 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Assemble the bowl by placing rice, cooked beef, and sautéed vegetables. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- For lower sugar, consider honey or a sugar substitute.
- Experiment with different vegetables for added flavor.
