A rich and flavorful dish featuring juicy ribeye steak topped with a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
- Ribeye steak – 2 (about 1 inch thick, approximately 1 lb each)
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Unsalted butter – 4 tablespoons
- Heavy cream – 1 cup
- Grated Parmesan cheese – 1 cup
- Fresh parsley – 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt – to taste
- Black pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the steak by letting it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Sear the steak in a skillet with melted butter for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
- Add minced garlic in the last minute of cooking and spoon melted butter over the steaks.
- Rest the cooked steaks covered with foil for 5-10 minutes.
- Make the creamy Parmesan sauce by combining heavy cream, leftover butter, and garlic in the skillet, then whisk in Parmesan cheese.
- Slice the rested steaks, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream.
- Use Greek yogurt for a lower-fat version of the sauce.
- Experiment with different cuts of steak like sirloin or filet mignon.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat to avoid toughening the steak.
