Description
A delicious and healthy treat made with creamy Greek yogurt and rich chocolate, frozen into delightful little bites.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups of Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
- 1 cup of dark chocolate (chopped or chips)
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of assorted nuts (chopped, such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
- A pinch of sea salt (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir well until the honey is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
- Chop the assorted nuts into small pieces if they are not already chopped.
- Fold the chopped nuts into the yogurt mixture until they are evenly distributed.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the yogurt-nut mixture onto the parchment paper, shaping them into clusters.
- Once all the clusters are formed, drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the top of each cluster.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the clusters freeze for at least 2 hours, or until they are solid.
- Once frozen, remove the clusters from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container in the freezer.
Notes
- For a vegan option, use coconut yogurt instead of Greek yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
- Omit the nuts or replace them with seeds for nut allergies.
- Experiment with flavored Greek yogurt or add spices for different flavors.
