Description
A delightful treat combining the sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate and peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts (unsalted)
- A pinch of sea salt (for garnish)
Instructions
- Peel the ripe bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Insert a popsicle stick into each half and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spread a generous layer of creamy peanut butter over the top of each banana half.
- Freeze the peanut butter-coated banana halves for at least 1-2 hours until firm.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each frozen banana half into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Sprinkle crushed peanuts over the chocolate-coated bananas before the chocolate sets.
- Lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each banana half.
- Return the chocolate-coated bananas to the freezer for another 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Once firm, remove from the freezer, cut into bite-sized pieces if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a nut-free option, use almond butter instead of peanut butter.
- To make it vegan, swap chocolate chips for dairy-free options.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
- Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving if needed.
