Description

A delightful dish that combines rich flavors and comforting textures with tender bowtie pasta, creamy sauce, and a cheesy touch from mozzarella and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 grams bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 200 grams mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 100 grams parmesan cheese, grated
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine with the beef mixture. Allow it to simmer for about 2-3 minutes, letting the flavors meld together. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy beef sauce. Stir in half of the grated parmesan cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella, allowing them to melt into the sauce.
  6. Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, followed by the rest of the parmesan cheese.
  7. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the pasta dish for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness of this delicious dish!
