A delightful blend of sweet and tart flavors, this Cranberry Orange Cheesecake features a creamy texture paired with zesty orange and tangy cranberry, making it a perfect dessert for holiday gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 grams (16 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 200 grams (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 grams (about 2 cups) graham cracker crumbs
  • 100 grams (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 200 grams (2 cups) fresh cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 240 ml (1 cup) heavy cream
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) water for compote
  • 50 grams (1/4 cup) additional sugar for compote

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and orange zest.
  3. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. Bake for 50-60 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool.
  5. Prepare the cranberry compote by combining cranberries, water, and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Let cool.
  6. Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
