Description
Cheese and Herb Popcorn is a delightful snack that combines the rich, savory flavor of cheese with the fresh aroma of herbs. This crunchy treat is perfect for movie nights, parties, or just a cozy evening at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels (about 120 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese powder (about 25 grams)
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (about 1 gram)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (about 1 gram)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add a few popcorn kernels and cover the pot. Once they pop, add the rest of the kernels and cover again. Shake the pot occasionally until popping slows down to about 2 seconds between pops.
- Once the popcorn is ready, transfer it to a large mixing bowl. While it’s still warm, sprinkle the cheddar cheese powder, dried rosemary, dried thyme, and sea salt over the top.
- Using a large spoon or your hands, gently toss the popcorn to evenly distribute the cheese powder and herbs. Make sure each kernel is coated for maximum flavor.
- Sample a few pieces and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more cheese powder or salt according to your preference.
Notes
- Store any leftover Cheese and Herb Popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature.
- For the best results, enjoy your popcorn fresh. If you need to reheat, place it in the oven at a low temperature for a few minutes to regain its crunch.
